Hand cut in our design studios and finished by traditional British belt-makers, the Hartwist Dog Lead is an icon of understated design. It’s strong enough to last a lifetime, yet supersoft for maximum comfort.
Superb quality dog lead
We cut the fabric for this dog lead by hand in our studio in Hoxton. It’s finished by a traditional British belt-maker using sturdy metal trigger hooks that are genuine saddlery fittings. The finished dog lead feels substantial and well-made and lasts for years.
Easy to clean designer dog Lead
When your lead needs a clean just handwash or give it a wipe over with a damp cloth, and it comes up looking like new. We offer a range of sizes of Lead to suit every breed from teacup Chihuahua to Labradors. Please take a look at the size guide to get the best size for your dog.
Exclusive dog Lead in genuine Tweed
Our creative director Lilly is often inspired by traditional mens’ tailoring and classic British films like Miss Marple. Nowhere is this more evident in the Hartwist Tweed Dog Lead. You can just imagine a Colonel striding around the grounds of an Edwardian country house . His jacket or plus fours would be cut from a natural tweed just like this, as it’s the perfect cloth for country walks. The tweed itself is woven in Scotland with yarn spun from the wool of the Cheviot sheep. Originally worn by landowners and shepherds it’s also a favourite with the British aristocracy.
Matching Accessories
Hartwist is a complete collection in this hardwearing, attractive Scottish Tweed. The Lead looks especially good teamed with the matching Hartwist Dog Collar. Your dog can also sleep on a fleece-topped Hartwist dog bed and snuggle into the Hartwist Dog Blanket. The Hartwist collection also sports a dog coat, hat and even a matching pet carrier for smaller dogs.
The Hartwist collection, like all our designer petwear, is exclusive to LoveMyDog and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.

“Just a note to say how fabulous my new tweed collar and lead is that my mum bought for me last week in Stamford. My name is Lawrence and i am an extremely handsome chocolate labrador. I had been wearing a burberry, but after i pulled really hard chasing a cat it snapped, leaving my mum flapping cos we were on a main road at the time!! If you need someone to model your fabulous range, do not hesitate to drop me a line!!!!”
