You can just imagine a Colonel striding around the grounds of an Edwardian country house. His jacket or plus fours would be cut from a natural tweed just like this, as it’s soft, windproof and showerproof - the perfect cloth for country walks.
Tweed Designer Dog Lead
The tweed itself is woven in Scotland with yarn spun from the wool of the Cheviot sheep. Originally worn by landowners and shepherds it’s also a favourite with the British aristocracy. Hand cut in our design studios and finished by traditional British belt-makers, the Thornby Dog Lead is an icon of understated design. It’s strong enough to last a lifetime as tweed is famous for being hardwearing, yet this superb natural fibre also feels very comfortable in your hand..
Easy to clean lead
Thornby fabrics have an invisible Teflon coating, that shrugs off dirt and stains. Occasionally it may need a clean - after all, dogs do like to roll in some unspeakable things! When that happens, just hand wash the dog lead or give it a wipe over with a damp cloth, and it comes up looking like new.
Two sizes of dog lead
The Thornby Dog Lead is approximately 1 metre long and is available in a slim width for small dogs or regular width for medium to large dogs. The sturdy metal clasp is of the type used on the saddles of thoroughbred horses, so the Thornby dog lead has a wonderful quality feel to it and lasts for years.
